what is the difference between soft white an full spectrum.....the full spectrum seems way brighter when on? INFO PLEASE COMMENT BACK...THANKS
Soft white mimicks the fall sun, while full spectrum is like a hot summer day, You need 6500k bulbs for veg and 2700k bulbs for flowering, some people like to mix it up
well, I cant say for sure. I have 5 2700k 42 watts and after a week the palnts kinda got withered. I then saw a guy who had the same isuue and bulbs, he got some 6500k bulbs and that fixed the issue. Also you can think about the color temp (k) as the amount of colors Yesterday i went to home depot and got 56 watts of 5000k to mix in with my 2700k so I could get started. Im gonna order some 6500k bulbs asap So for your question, yea they may work but your better off with 6500k bulbs for veg and use 2700k bulbs for flowering. Make a thread about the combo of the two spectrums, Like mixing them
how many plants are they over.....im only running two plant.....bout super critical autoflower.....i already have 4 25watt full spectrum and three 13watt 2700k......plaining on buy 2 65watt 6500k....THANKS AGAIN
4... You should wait for someone else to chime in, Im afraid ill give you the wrong info. However you cant go wrong with the right bulb.... That being said im gonna start another micro grow using 5000k so. I also know that metal hallide bulbs are most available at 4500k and alot use that. I'd think your fine with 5000k Also did you buy that bulb with the stripes of diff colors on the front? For around 9 dollars, JW
Yeah 5000k will do as most MH are around that spectrum. 6500k might be better though, so next time get them. Once you have the right lumen output you'll be fine.
yes matt i got the ones with the colors on the front but i guess ill go get some 6500k.....im growin an autoflowering strain....Smoketoker, so your saying i should invest in a couple 6500k? just dnt want to mess my first grow up..lol and thanks again
I'm not sure. I'm just saying that 6500k is usually what's recommended when buying CFLs for vegging, and it's what I use. But I also know that MH lamps give off closer to 5000k so maybe they're fine. I doubt using the 5000k will mess up your grow at all.

Yeah a mixture is good. The 2700k are good for flowering but you should really be using a HPS or those big 200/300 watt CFLs for that. I veg 6500k and then add one or two 2700k when they need more light.

You will definitely want hps for flowering. Much more efficient and much more light penetration to lower buds.
