I have a 250watt Blue U8 CFL light in a shade and wondered if it would be better to have some hanging CFL's added to it so I can cover the area better...? If yes what would be good CFL wattage sizes to get...? I have looked on eBay and theres a guy who lives local that has some 40watt and 85watt bulbs and cable for hanging use. Thanks for any replies.
65 watters are kinda of heavy but as long as they are secure go for it. Or get a y socket splitter and get 2 42watt bulbs. My set up is all CFL in a secret jardin tent. I have just under 300 actual watts for 3 plants.
Hey thanks for the reply. Heres my tent so far. I have 3 tents running at the moment and 2 are CFL and 1 is 600watt HPS in a coolshade and extraction fans. What are these 'Y' connectors...? I have 2 42watt CFL's in my saved items section of eBay so can order them now for tuesday delivery. Do they have a name so I can search online or eBay...? Or can I just hang them from the central bar so they just dangle between the plants...? Thanks again for your help.
y-sockets are two headed sockets that are in the shape of the letter "Y". one end is male and screws into a regular socket. the other two ends are female and you screw bulbs into them. its a way to have two light bulbs with one socket. a y-socket can be found at most hardware stores and definitely at home depot or lowes etc...
