Hi. Looks nice. It's an Indica, because of its lighter green, broad leaves, compared to darker, finger shaped leaves of the sativa.
Looks Indica-dominant to me, alot of marijuana now a days are sativa/indica hybrids, because there could be some sativa in there or in mine because I have some plants that are broader and fatter leaved and then some that are skinny; there can be many different outcomes not all the plants from the mother are going to retain the same exact set of genes i.e. whole hair color genetic idea if you will, its kind of like it.
Indicas in Flower contain, tight, dense, compact clusters of buds Sativas are usually more on the lanky side Not to forget; the great thing about Indicas is their shorter Flowering period.
How tall should my idica be by time to start flowering? and how long should I expect for flowering to last?
Indicas mature faster.... So if you're in a hurry to Flower. Veg it for 1-2 more weeks then you can began 12/12, you can probably began 12/12 right now but it may be a small harvest. Flowering can take between 6-9 weeks, depending on the high you desire and what the trichomes are looking like.
Last time I grew I waited till 80 percent of the thc crystals where amber brown. But how much growth heigth wise will I see durring flowering?
It's going to stretch and bush out. It'll stop when it more than doubles in size. It's an Indica so it shouldn't be 8 ft or anything crazy....as long as you're maintaining the size by training or pruning.
ok I am shooting for about 3 to 4 feet. Yeah i posted those pictures yesterday and i turned the lights off last night for the first time in a week for 6 hours and I swear it shot up about 3 inches up and out. Also it is the most skunist plant I have ever grown. Hey do you think i could top her now?
If you top it, you have to veg it longer....it needs time to heal from the top. If you top it today, give it 1-2 more weeks of veg... or until it begins to grow again If you top it then put it in Flower so soon it can delay the Flowering phase You can also train it (tie-down the branches apart from each other)
Honestly do you think topping will increase yeild because I was planning on vegging for another three weeks?
Topping the top shoot only prevents it from growing vertical....it makes it more of a bush. But by the pics I'd leave this grow alone, it looks bushy on it's own...Just cut the lower spindly branches, that don't look like healthy bud producers. Then again it's your grow, you can top it, if you don't want it to get too tall. Veg it for at least 7-10 more days and from then look at it daily on how it progresses.....The longer you Veg, can increase the potential yield.
Dude I appreciate the addvice The reasonI wanted to top is to have two main colas of bud but if you are saying it won't affect the yeild to much then I will leave it alone. I am hoping to get at least a half from it. I have grown a couple times before but i still can't get a feel for predicting yeild.
