Why is it that cell phones is so bad? I'll tell you why, Their hella expensive, and 99% of the people who have cell phones TEXT. NOT ONLY THAT, they only text.

EX: My friend texted me (I don't have texting anymore its gay) and so I call her, she doesnt answer.... and they usually text the second after I call...

Also, People are so used to texting they barely talk in person and/or on the phone at least.

I know technology is great and all but cell phones are ruining people's way of communication.

edit: my last gf I had (I talked to her alot STILL), I texted her sometimes.
and she claimed I was too pussy to talk to her in person. It's fucking bullshit. and others try to do drug deals with me through texting which is REALLY RETARDED.

  2. couldnt say it any better than you do.
all of my friends except a few always text back when u call..
    soooo ANNOYING

  3. Lol I don't really care which way you contact me. I have unlimited texting so it doesn't matter. Texting is basically like AIM or MSN.. Don't really see how its an epic fail but whatever.

  4. Its a lot easier to text "be there in 15" than to find the contact, dial the number, listen to the ringing or whatever dumbass song they have playing instead of the ringing and say it over the phone

Progress has it's good and bad points.. Remember the dawn of e-mail? Yah back then people bitched that the handwritten letter was dead and it was less personal, yada yada yada

  5. Couldn't tell you. My last cell broke over 2 years ago. I decided not to get a new one and have never been happier.

Down with cell phones I say!!

  6. I concur, once my contract ends with t mobile i might just not renew it :)

  7. Your completly wrong.

  8. I don't like cell phones.

When I'm stoned, I don't want to be bothered.

  9. every time some dumb bitch texts me, i delete it

  10. Man, bitches love texting!:p

  11. I hate talking on the phone, and I hated it before texting was invented. I'm glad I can send little notes. I actually stay in touch with some people now.

  12. I actually hate phones in general. Talking over the phone sucks, especially a cell phone since I have poor hearing and can barely understand what ANYONE says on the highest volume setting.

And texting... HOLY SHIT. It's not a bad thing when used for useful situations such as setting something up when unable to talk, but texting for the sake of texting? I HATE it!

    "Yo, what's up?"
    "Nothing, why'd you text me?"
"No reason, just bored, wondering what you're up to."
"Oh, so like, you don't even wanna do anything?"
"Nah, I'm actually with my girlfriend so I can't."

THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TEXTING ME FOR NO REASON WILE YOU ARE WITH YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND!!?????? ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Well, damn, that's stupid. I would never text anyone just to text them. Wow, that boggles the mind.

Well I agree about the prices, but dissagree about texting.

I personally am kind of shy, and when I want to get in touch with someone I don't really know, texting can be the best option. For example, a new dealer, even if they've given me a number or told someone else it's ok, might prefer not have me just call, I would defnitly text.

Also, texting lets you keep your conversation private, which is VERY useful, or talk silently, or any number of things.

Last but not least, you can get in touch with someone and carry on a conversation on their time. people, including me, tend to prefer talking on THEIR tiime, if they didn't initiate the conversation.

Think things out before you bitch. Of course I call people, but more than half my conversations are texting, if I could buy something that just texted for half price and pay like a quarter price for a plan, i DEFNITLY would very fast.

edit- WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? doing drug deals via text is all around safer in many environments, say i'm at a friends, and their parents are UBER paranoid about drugs and would call the cops without telling me and have me arrested and stuff if they heard me making a deal, what do I do, call, or text?

  15. Good shit..Exactly.I can get as much as i need in a 5 minute conversation in one, free, fast, text message.

  16. 95% of the people I know ignore most of my phone calls anyway. I text and call, but I usually only text certain people, such as my friend who lives in Florida. Hell, I can leave a fuckin voicemail saying "give me a call when you get this, thanks" and I don't get shit. That's probably the main reason I don't bother calling people a lot of the time.

  17. phones in general suck. i hate talking on them. like i get a call and i'm so flabbergasted that a machine is trying to get my attention it already ruins whatever train of thought i was in, and now i've gotta answer some random question or entertain someones thoughts? when people try to make deals over the phone it is even worse because of people trying to use this week's latest slang while keeping it hush hush.

texting is the shit because you can answer them at your own leisure, refine the things you want to say, use numbers so there is no confusion etc etc.

doesn't anyone think it's unnatural and strange to talk to someone and hear their voice through a little box in your hand? it always bothered me. texting is like todays speedy version of written letters. well, i guess thats email but i think i conveyed my idea.

text me or find me in person:p

  18. I totally agree. With cell phones, people no longer have to remember important numbers, and if their phone breaks or they lose it they lose all communication to anyone they know. People also always know who is calling so they can freely choose to ignore them or not.

Texting is nice for a quick message, but I hate when some people try to have an actual conversation through texting. It's like, JUST CALL ME!

So yeah, in conclusion, cell phones have turned our society into lazy bums. I will not lie though, I do have and use a cell phone.
