I've never got a cell phone before until like a month ago... reason being never had a need. but I found a need, so I got one. So I'm a newb to this whole world. So I have a question, if you have 450 anytime minutes and 250 text messages for 50 bucks a month, how can using 340 minutes, with only 60 of them being during the peak hours, rest on free night/weekend, and a total of 223 text messages, plus 2 picture messages equal a 143 dollar bill? I paid for the phone and all the fun stuff when I picked it up, so it's not that stuff. Anyone familiar with this? My statement isn't ready yet, so I can't check that, but something seems screwy, even though I know I'm wrong... but what racks up the money like that when you stay within bounds?
Are you positve its 340 minutes only? I was in the same situationm till I realized there were more minutes.
Well I checked the verizon website nightly, and assuming they updated minutes, and none were left out, then yes, I am 100% positive it was under 450 minutes. edit: the only thing I can think of is that i misunderstood the verbage reguarding using the AIM service in which being signed onto AIM counts as airtime AND text messages, but to my understanding, it is soley text messages. but that's the only thing I can think of. I downloaded free trials for ringtones, but didn't purchase anything other then a 5.99 package for a few ringtones from this one... so that shouldn't equal 100 bucks more... hrm those programs could be it, but I used free trials only..
was it your first bill from them? if i remember correctly, u get charged a start up fee with them or some shit that occurs on your first billing cycle i faintly remember something like that when i started up with verizon, but i cant really remember for sure cause i have been smoking on bubba kush all day from the club try giving them a call, but im pretty sure its the activation fee or some bullshit like that
Thats why I use a prepaid phone plan. If I go over my monthly allowance, I just either go without or top it up.
shit, i dont know then man try going to the store and asking them about it, or calling the # on the bill but, i will say i do like verizon's service and shit much better than the other cell phone companies so good call going with them in my opinion
