CBS reverses decision thanks to change.org

  1. Check it out yo! I can't find the original, but someone started a thread to protest CBS' decision to reject a NORML ad for a Times billboard square for being "too political". So I (and 8000 others apparently) went to change.org and submitted emails via their form. CBS has now reversed their decision and the NORML ad will be printed.

    Here's the email I got from change.org:

    Pretty cool IMO. :hello:

  2. Haha, this is excellent news.

  3. + 1 for teh cause!

  4. Awesome news! :D

  5. It makes one wonder if the FCC wasn't more behind approving/disallowing of the ad than CBS, ultimately? CBS has shows which make a LOT of references to marijuana (at least their sitcoms) so I don't think they are necessarily "anti." Who knows. The media is a social experiment. They're bouncing various messages off us and seeing what will take.

  6. nice! i was one of those 8000 glad to see they actually reversed that.. :D

  7. finally one of those stupid change websites did something.

  8. This simply means the domino effect for television commercials. Especially with CBS as a start. Before we know it, we'll be seeing it on MTV, NBC, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and everything else!

  9. got the same email

  10. awesome news cant wait for the impact its gonna make :)

  11. Does anyone know when the ad will air or what the ad actually is ?

  12. The advertisement was produced to be aired on Time Square billboards.

  13. Yesss, I just saw this today. MUCH EXCITE. I can't wait to see how this affects our cause. :D
