Caught By Parents AND Police. Mom No Longer Believes In Me.

  1. My Parents never knew i smoked until a few months ago, only my mom knew and didnt tell my dad. (keep in mind my dad was a major stoner back in his younger years as well) i came home from a buddies house a year ago when i first started smoking and she noticed i was high and sent me off so my dad wouldnt see me. the next morning she didnt say anything, and went and bought a chihuahua http://cloudimages.grasscity.com/smilies/stonedsmilie.gif LOL. until i couple months ago she didnt know i still smoked til she caught me again. I continued to smoke even though my mother didnt approve.

on nov 15th on my lunch break i went out with a couple buddies looking to hit a couple pails (term for gravity bong). it was cold outside and we decided to go to a secret spot of ours.. a nice treehouse in the back of someones backyard. the backyards of the houses are next to a forest, walk of the trail a little and theres the treehouse. we hop the fence and into the treehouse window. were there for maybe 25 minutes, were all blazed. when were just about done blazing we hear "come on out, i know youre in there" i pick up my 5 grams and bowl pieces i had in my jar and we all jump out the window hop the fence and run, by the time i get out (i was the last one) and hop the fence a cop was there, and grabbed my arm as i came down. immediately he takes of my bag and holds it up, and goes through my pockets. all my buddies got away i was just the unlucky one that got caught. he asked me what was in my bag, i told him my ipad, wallet, school binder.. he replied "thats it? can i take a look?" and i told him a little bit of marijuana too... which gave him cause to search my bag which i shouldnt have done. so he cuffs me puts me in his car and tries to get me to rat out my buddies haha. he brought me back to the school where i talked to the principal for a while and called my mom. she wasnt too happy.

this is what i dont understand about my mothers views and opinions on marijuana. My grades are up and im currently pursuing a career in graphic design. i have colleges, classes, picked out and i have most of the technology to practise. in another thread i might even post some of my work to show you. my mom thinks weed is a gateway drug and that it is going to ruin my life. my father was a stoner and he never did any other hard drugs. he alive and well with a successful job as a brick mason, currently going out west to work in alberta making $60 an hour. i havent smoked since nov 15th when i got caught and i hate it. smoking is a part of my life and lifestyle. things just arent the same. ive told her many times that it depends on the person, whether they can hold themselves together or not when they smoke and i most certainly can. its to the point where if she talks about it to me i just leave the room. there is absolutley no talking to my mom about it and trying to get her to see my reasoning. i wish there was some way to show her that im okay. marijuana is legal here in canada ontario for medicinal use, and its already legal in a hand full of states down south for RECREATIONAL USE. she just doesnt get it. weed is all i want, not any other "drugs". :(

thats my story for today boys and girls.

  2. on the police report it said "the males were observed partaking in drug activity in a tree house in the backyard of a residence, none of which lived there." which was not true, and i made that clear when i recieved this to the officer. he said it was irrelevant.

and again "upon police identifying themselves, the males fled.." the cop did NOT identify himself as law enforcement.

is this something i could challenge in court if get charged, is it even worth it?

  3. Well if he didnt identify himself or read you your rights you have something to go on. Good thing keeping your friends out of it, and you know your biggest mistake already, letting him search you

What's not true? You said all those things in your story.

Yeah you could challenge it. If they got you for resisting arrest, you could probably knock that off. But since you had weed on you, it's irrelevant to your drug charge.

Your mom is just worried because you started smoking so early. Your dad likely isn't the only stoner she's known.

  5. you shoulda mugged that ***** and ran like forrest!

  6. Lol your spot was up a trail in someones backyard? Serves you right.

  7. Alcohol is the true gateway drug with tons of horrible side effects there are many studies confirming this. Again there have been many biased studies showing weed can do all sorts of horrid things.

I used to get fucked up every thursday, friday, saturday in highschool and my mother wouldn't blink an eye. Sometimes even having to be carried into my house by friends. Chalking that up to youthful indiscretion. As soon as I started smoking and refrained from drinking I couldn't get her to quit berating me about my marijuana use.

I think most parents are caught up in the legality of weed, I mean how can you compare seeing your child out of their gourd drunk unable to function enough to walk to their front door, with being baked out of their mind cooking up a storm of good food and watching classic tv shows. It really boggles my minds about some attitudes of weed.
Don't let it phase you. It seems you're young but eventually you'll realize that it's your life and you're going to have to make decisions about what you do and don't do. Letting other people run your life will just make you resent how you're living and them as well. Maybe once you're out of the house it will get better. GL!

  8. It sounds like youre just at that age, proberly not much you can do about it esp if your mum is caught up in the propaganda. Tbh you proberly shouldnt be smoking yet anyway, i say this cos i dont think you are 21 and if im not mistaken that is the legal age in the states, dont quote me on that though i live in the UK.

  9. When I lived at home my mom didn't really care if I drank but would flip if I smoked. Her only argument was the legality of it. Guess what. Underage drinking is just as fucking illegal. That was the cause of many fights.

EDIT: 21 in Colorado and Washington.

  10. Same situation with my mah. Really blows there so ignorant my brotha. Best of luck.
Maybe talk to yo padre if he used to toke and get him to chill mom out?

  11. i was aloud to drink and smoke growing up, but they were very weird about it

  12. Did. Not. Read. Sorry dude :(

  13. It doesnt matter if she doesnt believe in you. you will still exist regardless of this fact.

btw i totally didnt read a word of the OP.

  14. No pity for the people slacking and getting caught smoking that kush . . . its the same principle if you are around a campfire with a group and a bear chases and mauls the slower people . . . Im going to keep running, ya feel me?

  15. Man you're fucked. If you live with her and if smoking is threatening your future why push it? If you're 18 you should be near graduation and ready to head off to that college. Not smoking for a few months is completely worth not fucking up your future.

  16. Naah, the cop said "come out, I know you're in there" he dint say "this is the police, come out" or anything like that. Wasn't read my rights, and the treehouse was fully enclosed. Only way to see in our out was to open the door or window. Both of which were closed

  17. Yeh that's what I'm thinking. I haven't smoked in a while, I guess I gotta wait Til I move out. I've been looking at apartments close to my school since my arrest.

  18. I don't blame you it's mad long haha

  19. Op is under 18. Why else would police call his mom??

  20. Can you prove he didnt identify himself.
