Pitchfork: Carlos D Leaves Interpol Why???!!! I've been looking forward to their new album, but more importantly their TOUR! I've always wanted to see Carlos perform live, but will never get the chance. Honestly, i'm tired of dwelling over this, i just thought i'd share the news with some Interpol fans that aren't so in the loop...
this is pretty tragic news in the post-punk revival world. the bass riff in 'Evil' is one of my favourite music moments of the last decade. all I know is, if they want to keep up their old bass-driven sound, they've got to replace Carlos with someone good...
yeah i love his bass playing its fun to play cuz its so advanced and hes one o the only ones that can pull off using a pick even though i use one all the time but still this is very tragic news so yeah but listening to untitled blazed as hell is quite entertaining
as is the new. he's pretty much the reason i play bass, most basslines are boring... he didn't actually write the bassline for evil, but he does rock that shit
