  1. This first quote is one of my all-time favorites....

"A religion old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the universe as revealed by modern science, might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths.
Sooner or later, such a religion will emerge."
    -Carl Sagan

"It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
    --Carl Sagan

"The Universe forces those who live in it to understand it. Those creatures who find everyday experience a muddled jumble of events with no predictability, no regularity, are in grave peril. The Universe belongs to those who, at least to some degree, have figured it out."
    -- Carl Sagan

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."
    -Carl Sagan

  2. LOL, that chick says "extraterresial"

She's a cunt. Carl is badass.

    I love him. "Euman beings."
  3. I know it....its almost as if she's attempting to be sarcastic throughout the whole interview.
  4. carl sagan...

get getyourself a torrent downloader... and get his whole cosmos series. (or check see if they are back up on some video hosting site)

thankfully, sagan is one of those who strive for an open but skeptical mind... sure he may not always have achieved this, but thats the nature of time, change and learning... can he always try again. i wonder if he has relaxed his stance on astrology yet from his stuffy accademic view of the BS you read in newspapers, as expressed in the cosmos series with much jeer and ridicule.
