hey all, I have been trying to read up on starting a small, probably four plant, indoor grow, they are going to be soil indoors and I am thinking I am going to get a light which can switch between High Pressure Sodium and Metal Hallide Bulbs, how many watts would I need in a light to grow four plants about? Also I am very confused by all of the atmosphere controls available on the internet, I see CO2 and Humidity 'controls' but I am not sure if they are meant to control other things which actually regulate CO2 and Humidity, I.e a humidifier and a fan or something? Any recmmendation for a simple humidity temperature and co2 control set up and a carbon filter because I need this box to be practically no smell, the box is going to be about 4 and a half feet long four feet tall and two feet wide. Does this sound like enough space? Thanks a lot, seven.
Too many questions! Go do some studying, get the basics into your head, and then, if you still have questions, ask them one at a time! The grow journals are good, I'm told. There are a few great grow guides, too. Use the forum search facility to track down specific information in the many threads. Number of plants is irrelevant. -mu
also on your first grow, don't bother with co2, and only bother with humidity if it's way high or low in your grow room. these factors are important, but with good ventilation the co2 levels will be fine. if i could only give one tip, it would be dont' make this hobby more complicated then it needs to be. lots of first time growers will smother their plants will attention.
