Hey all, Quick question. I'm building a box for the first time and would like to know if there is an advantage to placing the Carbon filter inside vs. outside the box relative to the exhaust fan. I'll attach a picture for reference. Any info would help, thanks!
The filter is designed for air to be pulled through, not pushed through. You can push air through it if you have to, but it will reduce the life of the filter and it might not work as well.
If your fan is pushing air through your filter, the airflow through it will be reduced. Careful that if you're pushing it through you still have a negative pressure in your box or that's when the smell starts to be overwhelming, carbon filter or not!
