I've been running with just one 6" inline fan from the bottom blowing air on the plants. Temps have been fine and smell had been no big deal as I'm about 4 weeks into veg. In prep for going I to flower, how/where do I set up exhaust fan/filter? In 2'x4'x5' grow tent. 400w HPS and light shield doesn't have hook ups for fan/exhaust. You can place the exhaust fan at the top of the tent and you can connect the carbon filter on the side where the fan is pulling air from. I heard you can put it on the opposite side, where the air would be exhausting. So that can be an option as well if you're tight on space. I have mine set up on the side where the fan is pulling air and I can't smell a thing outside
