Hi all, First of all I will use this thread to introduce myself; I am blueMAN, from the UK and do some small cultivation for my own benefits. Secondly, I have been thinking about the way i have my carbon filter set up and how i may be able to alter it to create more space in my grow area. Currently i have the carbon filter hung in my area with an inline fan sucking OUT from the filter and vented into my loft space. What i was wondering is: Can i just have ductin in my grow area sucking out connected to my carbon filter which i intend on putting into the loft space??
Yes you can. Your fan will just work a little harder, and make sure you got a good seal on everything.
Ideally you want to pull the air from inside the grow cabinet throught the filter but I have seen setups where people push the the air through the filter, ie the filter is on the other side of the fan. And bengrow is right, make sure the seals are good.
