Hello.. Someone backed into my car today, hit me in he side towards the back of my van, gave me her name, number, insurance company.. and I wrote down the license plate number and color/type of car. then we parted ways, she says she was rushing to the hospital. Anyway, When I call her insurance company tomorrow and if everything is straight, will they pay me for the damage done? It was only a fist sized dent and some scratches from what i can tell, all aesthetic.
If your insurance company is like mine, you'll need to have an appraiser evaluate the damage to your car, and get 3 estimates for the repair order. After you fax back the RO's, they'll send you a check equaling the least of the 3 body shop estimates. (You choose your own body shop.) If you want to fix it, fix it. If you don't, then just bank the check. No fraud is done, that's why you have insurance. Personally, if your vehicle is in operable condition, and it's not too ugly, I'de either fix it myself, or say "fuck it" and leave it be, (and bank the check).
In WA, if you think the damages are $500 or less, there is no need to call the police for an accident investigation.
If you wanted to call her insurance company, you make sure that she was telling the truth that she was rushing to the hospital. She needs to pay for the damage of your car. And I think that you had a good point to look over her insurance, for some reason.seo services
