Canvas Bags for Groceries

  1. Hey City,

Quick poll and hopefully start getting the word out there more....

How many of you use the canvas bags for your shopping needs? You buy them for 1$ a piece and bring them in with you when you go shopping. Being canvas they are stronger and hold more, and no worries about collecting 1,000 plastic bags.

    I think they are swell.

So do you use them? would you like to?

  2. are you giving them out?

  3. Yes, its a little thing that we learned back in grade one, part of the three R's, Reuse. And it will help this wonderful planet earth stay as beautiful as it is.

    :hello:eric:hello:

  4. I agree, people are too hung up on recycle- they forget to first reduce all waste, then reuse all waste you can, then recycle everything else you cannot use or eliminate yourself.

  5. I tried bringing in a canvas bag to my local grocery store and they wouldnt let me bring it in because they thought I was planning on stealing stuff

  6. Thats fucked up. If you wanna steal something can't you just shove it in your pockets? Why do you need a canvas bag.

  7. We ought to. I'll look into it.

  8. A lot of cashiers are confused when I bring in my own bags. Especially wal-mart.

I do most of my shopping by bicycle (including in the -45 degree winter) and canvas bags are the only way to get my shit home without the bags breaking.
