Can't smoke anymore (mentally and physically) :/

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by AlbertBudstein, Sep 27, 2012.

  1. Took a t-break for about 4 weeks as to pass a drug test for a job. Night I got the job, I wanted to smoke!! :D So I go buy a gram from my buddy and I pack it up in this huge bong and take 2 huge rips. I thought, maybe this isn't a good idea, seeing as I COULD be randomly tested, likely I won't unless I get hurt. And then all of a sudden it hit me, and hit me fucking hard. I did not like the feeling either

I got super anxious, there were people around me who I don't know that well, not bad people, just don't know them. And I started being able to not respond to people. I tried listening, but I was so anxious, I just couldn't..

So sad, waited 4 weeks, wanted to have the best high, had the worst high ever. Anyone ever experience something like that? Sad part is I smoked everyday before, loved it, never wanted to stop. I try again after my first t-break in years, and pure shit :/

  2. Maybe it was a panic attack? Try smokin by yourself, if you feel the same as you just did, more money in your pocket

  3. hey bud that's gonna happen when you take a t-break, just need to get your tolerance back and that paranoia will go away

  4. I don't get when this happens to people. I know that bud effects people in different ways and I'm not one of these people. Lol I wouldn't quit after one experience though, but the choice is yours.

  5. Like incredible said just needa get your tolerance back I remember when I was 14 no tolerance at all and smoking bowls out of an apple and going to school and man was I paranoid I thought everyone was staring at me and I was gettin some weird ass images in my head my point is paranoid high will bite you in your balls one day or another

  6. Don't take huge bong rips if your tolerance is low. Start slow, take one small hit, see how you feel, then another. Remember the first days, when 1-2 small hits would get you high?

Paranoia is usually encountered with weed, nothing to worry about. Maybe you should pay more attention to the set & setting. Psychoactive experiences are so subjective, that your state of mind has a tremendous influence on them. Sometimes, they'll just go awry, for no apparent reason. The reason might be some repressed emotions that the weed had helped surface. I've had my share of nasty highs, it happens. Next time, do it in a nicer setting, by yourself or with some close friends, turn on some lovely music and immerse yourself in whatever you enjoy doing when high. It will work. If you convince yourself that you can't smoke anymore, you won't be able to smoke. If you stay positive about it, discard it as "shit happens" and look forward to your next time, you'll be able to enjoy the herb as you always did.

  7. In the long run I enjoy nasty highs because they always end up surfacing repressed emotions.

  8. Exactly as Steven said, if you convince yourself you can't smoke , then you won't be able to. You were already setting yourself up for a bad high. The people that are more " aware" are the ones more screwed in life. Lol...can be such a pain in the ass sometimes.

Let me use athletes for example. Back before the focus on concussions was in place..players would take hits and be ok after. They didn't think about it, it was just part of the game. I'm not saying that is a good thing..especially long term, but I do think 100% that knowing also can have a negative effect on some since these reports on the brain have come out. You got players afraid of ending up like former athletes( depressed..committing suicide) ..so they take a hit..experience a normal concussion...and make it way bigger than it is. Our brains can very...very easily do that. Obviously it depends on the person. And obviously I'm not talking about every athlete. Just speaking in general. There's way more focus on concussions, and while its great that they are focusing on it...it's a bit of a double edge sword now that there is such " awareness" .

    If that makes any sense.

  9. ^ That. Try another strain/dealer next time, and if you haven't smoked for weeks, and then suddenly take huge rips of a potent strain, and especially sativa, it can fuck you up lol. Just smoke less, and build it up. :bongin:

  10. the wonders of a t-break.
next time you know to only take one rip...
i hate coming off a t-break & getting too high.

  11. I wish I couldn't handle it mentally or physically. Sure would save me a lot of money.

Yea I just took a mini tbreak a few days ago. Ripped a bong like OP and I was super paranoid then I passed out/fell asleep. I couldnt function. Gotta ease your way back into it. Dont worry just pace yourself next time.
