I have a 4g tunnel with a screw-on back. I've had it for a few months. I usually just take it out every few weeks to clean off the ear cheese, but I can't unscrew it. Any tips on unscrewing really small, really tight things?
soak your ear in some warm water for like 15 minutes and then try again. if that doesnt work get out the pliars
I don't think pliers would work. The earring is round, so there's nothing to grip on to. I'll just keep working at it until I get it off. There's no rush or anything.
If you go to any piercer, Im sure they'll get it out for you for free. Otherwise, I'd get it nice and slippery and do what nathann said. Just keep trying at it, always takes me a bit to get mine out.
either pliers or a thin sheet of rubber, like a washer or a hand grip thingy for opening jars. do you keep tightening it to make sure it doesnt unscrew? i do that with my piercings sometimes (at least twice a day) compulsively so i dont lose the backing, and it always makes it a bitch to take off...
Yes, CONSTANTLY! The balls always come unscrewed from my nipple bars, so I'm like conditioned to check all my piercings every half-hour or so. I guess I just screwed it on too tight this time. I don't want to have to go all the way out to a piercer. First of all, I'd look like a dumbass for not being able to unscrew my own jewelry. Second of all, the closest tattoo/piercing shops are like a 15-20 minute drive without traffic and snow, so who knows how long it'd take to get there in these conditions.
Ok, I got it out. I went at it while wearing a pair of rubber dishwashing gloves and it popped right out. Smells like ear cheese.
Take a paper towel or ass wipe and rip off a piece of it and put it on your finger and get try again. You have oils on your fingers and the earing. Get some friction and it will come off. Your ear cheese might be crusted up under the hoop too, causing it to be harder to take off. It's kind of a natural lock tight.
