YPSILANTI, MI -- Cannabis lovers will soon have the chance to attend a marijuana filled event paired with live music, food vendors and more at CannaJam Festival.

The state-sanctioned cannabis consumption festival is returning for its second year, and will take place from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park.

Organizer Michael Komorn, an attorney whose firm works in cannabis licensing, said events like CannaJam help pave the way for cannabis use at different social events. He said he hopes cannabis use can continue to evolve so it isn’t taboo.

“I still think that there is a lack of continuity in terms of (cannabis) use socially,” Komorn said. “It’s acceptable to use socially and these concerts are one of the ways to bring all that together where there’s sales and adult use at the event.”

The event, for those 21 years old and older, is selling general admission tickets online for $35 or for $40 at the gate. Attendees are allowed to bring and consume their own cannabis, but alcohol sales and use will be prohibited.

The state licensed event will feature cannabis sales provided by Arborside, Sticky Ypsi, Bloom City Club and more. Along with these sales, the event will be filled with a variety of live musicians. (snipped)

Michigan is a bit far for me to travel, but it sounds like it would be a fun way to spend a Saturday! :passtheshit:
