Cannabutter

  1. Will fresh trimmings work for this? (leaves/stems), I have alot of it :smoking:

  2. yes, but let it all dry out first.

i like to use cooking oil instead of butter, as most brownie recipes call for cooking oil.

    heres the cooking oil recipe:

  3. So if the directions on the brownies says 1/3 cup cooking oil, that is equivilent to 1/3 cup of cannabutter? Im a complete cooking noob by the way haha :D

  4. yeah, just melt it and pour into a measuring cup.

  5. you can make canna butter with wet product or canna milk wet product just seems to add more chloraphyl to the final product but still just as potent and yes bluntman 1/3 cup cooking oil = 1/3 cup ganja butter

  6. Alright thanks guys, im off to get stoned out of my skull :smoking:

  7. You really need to find some better brownie recipes. ;)

Butter is *the* key to making a really rich and chocolaty brownie.

  8. Rule of thumb for baking...

Oil/shortening will cause a lighter and fluffier texture while butter makes a denser, richer texture.

I prefer butter over oil for most recipes :)

  9. So im eating my brownies right now, fucking delicious. All i can taste is the cannabutter :D. I used the clippings from my homegrown, (harvested about 6 ounces of northern lights / haze) didnt even dry them and it still worked. The butter was bright bright green, and i still got a little left to put ontop of my waffles in the morning.

Well im off, just ate a brownie and im gonna wait around for it to kick in now :smoking:

  10. Do you do the same thing with butter? Just melt a ton in a pot and simmer with trimmings for a few hours?

  11. Is it easier to use a crock pot? And if you're going to use butter, should you clarify it first?

  12. you can use a crockpot but i use a temp gauge to make sure it reaches at least 200 degrees to convert inactive thc into active thc no dont have to clarify it first either just put some water in so it doesnt burn

  13. Cool, thank you! I see better Betty Crocker Gluten Free brownies in my future....
