cannabutter from dispensaries

    I'm going to be getting some cannabutter from my dispensary, what is the typical amount of bud put into a single stick? I wan't to make brownies with it but i'm not sure how I should measure it out.

    If you figure that they make the cannabutter with the standard 1 ounce of material to 1 pound of butter ratio, give or take...

    You end up with something between 1/4th and 1/2 of a gram of material in each cookie of a standard chocolate chip cookie recipe.

    Here's how I came up with that...and I'm making Cannabutter as I type this, so I'm glad to share:

    I bought an ounce of shake ($40), and a pound of butter. I threw in a couple grams of vapor poo that I'd saved up too, so let's round off everything to 30 grams of material...which we then ground up very fine.

    The cookie recipe (Nestle' Tollhouse Chocolate Chip, found, everywhere) uses 2 sticks of butter or 1/2 pound and yields 60 cookies. So figure that then there's 15 grams of material in each 60 cookies, or 1/4th of a gram in each cookie.

    NOW, I can get these super-strong chocolate chip cookies for $20 each that have 1 gram of kief in EACH cookie. I eat a quarter of each cookie as a dose (and that's a strong dose).

    So basically 1-2 cookies is one dose. You figure that 1 gram of kief is certainly higher concentrate than just regular shake...how much, I dunno, figure 2 to 4 times I guess? SO if one super-dose has 1/2th of a gram of kief in it, then one regular dose should have 1/4th to 1 gram of shake...

    Neat...now I know how many to eat once they're all made.

    Wow, I just figured that these cookies we're making will cost us just about $50 all together. We'll end up with, let's say 30 doses...so that's $1.67 per dose. NICE....beats $5, that's for sure.

    Thanks WildWill I'm gonna make some today. I'll try the one once of shake per pound of butter ratio and see how that works out. Edibles are weird for me they either do nothing or they trip me out hard, like you wish you hadn't ate it! I'm looking for something in the middle. I've heard people talk about really floaty, mellow body highs from edibles..That would be cool!
