Cannabutter Buttons PICS & recipe

  1. I just made some cannabutter the other day.
    Simple recipe: Use dry trimmings. Put them in a pot. Cover with water. Add enough butter, about a stick per oz of trimmings/shake. Simmer for a few hours, making sure to push down the vegetation every 15-30-45 min or whatever you need.
    After this, strain veg. out with a strainer, squeezing out all liquid possible back into the pot. Then strain this liquid through a coffee filter into a preferably glass bowl. You may have to go through a few filters, they get clogged. Cover the bowl and refrigerate.
    When the butter is hard, take it out of the bowl and dump the water. Rinse the funky stuff off the bottom of the slab. Put the slab back in bowl (Edweena, lol) and melt in microwave, 20 sec. at a time (do not overmelt). When completely melted, cover and put back in fridge. Repeat. I usually do this a few times because I don't like the funk that sinks to the bottom.
    I then test the butter to determine the dose (or find some guinea pigs). BE CAREFUL, too much THC is not a good thing.
    My batch was 1/2 tsp. for a dose. I put this amount into an ice cube (circle) tray and made buttons, just for conveinience. I then put them in a ziplock bag and into the freezer.
