Let us peaceful cannabis users all contribute to purchasing an island. We declare it our country, and legalize cannabis. Our main export? Hemp! And we sit on the breach, flying in our minds, waiting for other countries to follow in our footsteps. Lol
If you purchased an island it would still be part of (and therefore under the jurisdiction of) the country that the island is part of. Being off shore doesn't exclude the land mass from its mother country. So... unless you're prepared to go to war on that island... Yeah, no.
Plus, if I had a dollar for every time this idea has come up in the last few decades, I'd have enough money to buy my own island!

We've been talking about this for years, but nobody has the funds to do so. This is why I adamantly believe that all Blades should play the lottery as often as possible and, assuming they win, pool resources and purchase an island upon which we can finally be free. Of course, I'm all for invading an existing small island nation and declaring sovereignty over it, but that could cause some problems farther down the line. Plus, what if they didn't want to hit that chronic every day? Re-education is more expensive than you would think.

Smokers who do not contribute would be extradited. All would be base pay, crop supervisor positions would have salary increase based in responsabilies. I believe the purpose would to create a cooperative anarchy society based around the cannabis plant. Therefore, (with cannabis' 25,000+ possible products) manufacturing branches off to different jobs, such as fabric and fuel and paper making. Each job would be paid accordingly. This way a smoker, who doesn't have a "green thumb" could find a way to contribute. Although, it would be nice to have no currency to deal with, communism doesn't work, as we all know.
Communism is taking money away and giving to the elite. What we are merely suggesting is an island capable of live off the land with trading goods used as currency.
