Cannabis legality globally

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by daltonmc, Nov 29, 2011.

  1. I always see people criticizing the racist politicians in the 30s making marijuana illegal because of prejudice against mexicans, or some other bullshit story.
If that is the case, why is it illegal in pretty much every country in the world? I hope you realize that this cause is not just limited to the United States

  2. This isn't hard to figure out... you referenced it in your post own. Most countries have done it for much the same reasons as the U.S.

Political agenda, prejudice, religious dogma... if you look into the history of legality of marijuana in almost any country, there is a specific reason, and it usually has nothing (read: never) to do with the actual affects of the plant.

  3. Politicians....

  4. corporate interests
