Hey everybody, i hope this is the right place for this. I am conducting a hypothetical breeding program for my plant breeding class. I have to pick a particular trait (disease/pest resistance, hardiness, resin production) for a particular plant and describe how to go about it. Since my professor used hemp as an axample plant for cross pollination, I thought maybe I could get away with it. I was wondering if anyone with a genetics background (Mr. Postman) could tell me if certain genes are quantitative or qualitative and if any molecular markers have been used in past breeding experiments. If anyone has bred weed, did you do anything besides make a cross, plant the F1, and select the desirable plants? Thanx everyone! Wade
