canna butter question

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by dragon613, Mar 24, 2012.

  1. does canna butter have like any odd flavor because im trying to find a way to make a canna butter like product that you can put in a spray bottle and just like spray on anything edible.

  2. Glycerin oral spray....there is a thread about it some place

  3. I agree.. tincture may be a bit more tedious to make (well.. not really, just takes a little bit longer for it to become bioavailable without degrading potency with too much heat), but it would be much easier than oil or butter. :)

Firstly you'd want to use an oil that stays liquid at room temp, or, a bottle than can withstand heating safely to melt your butter, but I can tell you from personal experience with treating pre-baked cookies and 'non' edibles the same way, with a sprayer (I bring tinctures and oils to restaurants, more often than not!), that many spray bottles don't work very well with oil!

If you do go with oil or butter rather than tincture, I'd recommend buying a 'I can't believe it's not butter' sprayer, and either using the contents (not for cannabis! Just for eating.. if you like the stuff, that is) or just dump the 'butter' out for the bottle.... rather than going through the hassle I did, of buying and going through a half dozen little spray bottles that just were too 'slippery' to create the right seal and spray, with oil inside. Same thing happens sometimes when I get a cheap new spray bottle for good silica for my plants, or if the mechanism is particularly poor, even with glycerin... when a cheap pump gets too slick, it often won't work.

  4. Have you tried one of these man? I use it for my olive oil and it works great. Its a self pump bottle that makes a good mist/spray. Misto sprayer.
