Canadian police already go pretty easy on you for it. wouldn't be surprising if it was legalized there sometime in the near future.
Health Canada is working on a system similar to Washington state where MJ will be grown, packaged and sold. The downfall is Canada has given corporations the green light to develop and monopolize this system.
