  1. Hey guys! It's watering day in the garden, and almost everyone got a drink today. After 38 days in veg, Alberta Gold got flipped to the flower tent today.

  5. Hey Canada guy. Greetings from the west coast. I am subbed. I've been to Calgary a couple times. Can't wait to see your harvests

  6. Hey helion! Welcome! I'm not too far from Calgary. Within 2 weeks I'll be chopping AK 47, and then the rest will follow. I had everything set up once already and then I got spider mites so I had to scrub the entire garden.

Wow. Okay that's perfect, soon your hands and scissors will be covered in thick, gluey, sweet, sweet resin. I assume you have a stockpile of mason jars ready.
I'm sorry about the mites. Did you spray the leaves to rid them? Someone has given me an organic pesticide recipe:

5 ml (1 tsp) neem oil (use pure, cold pressed oil)

1-2 ml (1/3 tsp) insecticidal soap or other detergent (we use Dr.Bronners Castille soap.)

    1 liter (1 quart) water

Sometimes we use capsaicin oil too but it’s dangerous if you don’t wear proper PPE.

Also, it would be pertinent to identify the cause of initial infestation, and try to change your methods as to not introduce them into a sterile environment. I know they can be sneaky and its hard but think of it as a covid infection. .

  8. Lol the scissors will get gummed up, but I always wear gloves when I harvest. I have a 'couple' jars ready lol, only about 4 dozen! I don't actually do long term storage in jars anymore. I cure in jars, but after 3 months everything gets bagged, vacuum sealed, and stored in the freezer. With the mites, I've tried foliar sprays, chemicals, praying... nothing worked! I ended up removing/ destroying all my plants and I wiped EVERYTHING with a bleach/water solution. So far the little bastards have stayed away! The cause is unknown, they are quite resourceful little bugs. I could have brought them home/in from anywhere. Thank you for the pesticide recipe, I try to keep everything organic in my garden as much as possible.

  9. Hey guys! It's Monday! Time for the weekly flower tent update. AK 47 is looking great, she's starting to really fatten up now. Girl Scout Cooking is developing her seeds nicely on the one pollinated branch. Everyone else is doing well. This morning in the garden was a weird smell, turns out after 3 years of faithful service my circulation fan died. I went to Walmart and picked up a new one for $20. Today both Double Chocolate and King Cong sprouted, yay! Everyone else in the veg box is just fine, and the Blue Gelato cuttings seem to be alive still too.

  10. Looking good this week I think you should try to maximize your head space next run maybe do some taller plants, veg em a bit more...i know the autos do stay small though. What was your method for pollinating? Did you take it outside first to brush it with the pollen and then bring it back inside after a day or two so as not to cross pollinate?

  11. Thank you! The AK 47 stays very short the way I train. Others can get about 2 feet tall and I'm happy with that. The way I grow allows me to have small batches with lots of variety. I pollinated her by dusting her with the scraper I used to collect my pollen, then I just put her back in the tent. The only other plant available to recieve pollen was AK 47, and she was closer to the fan so little to no pollen would have gone again the wind to pollinate her.

    I can grow monsters too...

  12. Wow dude that really is a beast of a fn plant! And I see. I think I would just keep a male outdoors in the backyard. I've never grown a matured male plant... I just got home and I'm about to check my girl see if she perked up or not. God I hate that droopy look. The girl you just pollinated was that a fem or reg? I might need too trade seeds with you...

  14. Thank you! That was a Tangerine Dream. Males flower very quickly. My girls do not droop when I up-pot. I pollinated a feminized GSC.
