It's easy to see for yourself mate, just look through one of the tops (as seen in pic) simply move the tops leaves aside and at the bottom of the head you will see either nothing (still premature), bunches of sacs or stigmas (little white hairs). It's actually very simple to tell, so now ya know (hopefully my poor way of explaining things worked lol)

The pics are perfectly sharp (which in itself is a novelty on GC) and you can CLEARLY see pollen sacs.

Or maybe you have never grown before and don´t actually recognise a pollen sac.

 

Best thing for it. My males end up on the compost heap.

I have never grown mj, but I don't know why everybody feels that they have to be so murderous towards the poor males. There are at least a few things that could be done with a male plant that somebody had put their heart and soul into for 6+weeks right? Besides for the good ol' chop & hash, you could also bonsai it down to one branch and a few fan leaves, cover the single developing branch with a wal-mart bag and collect some pollen to do some selective fertilization. Another option would be (if available/applicable), plant it out in the corner of your yard where it might be somewhat inconspicous. At this point you could either harvest some pollen for future selective fertilization (seeds, they aren't just by mail order anymore!), or wait until the plant matures and actually dry and smoke the male flowers. It won't be as potent as some good female buds, but it will get you high. Don't put a lot of extra time into it or anything, just make sure you cut the male flowers before (or soon after) they release their loadz. Lastly, you could be a true anarchist and just let their jizm fly and pollinate the hell out of everything. Sure you would ruin the potency/value of your sensimilla buds, but sometimes chaos is fun and you would get a whole buttload of seeds to trade/sell/cherish/grow/make jewelry out of, etc. Sorry, but I just get tired of people always saying to "chop them" without speaking to the possible value of the male plant to the end user (who might not know better).

 

Well, nice to get a lesson in growing from someone who has never grown, even if most of it is a load of tosh.

Yes, we all know about pollination, most of us have actually done it many times.

And we don´t waste what is often valuable space on growing useless males.
