I wanted to clean my spoon pipe so i put it in a ziploc bag with 91% alchohol. But i forgot about it, and spent the night at a friends place. So now my pipe has been sitting at home in isopropyl alchohol for more than 24 hours. Is this bad, or does it not matter?
If its glass it will be just fine Might actually give it a good cleaning Sometimes painted pipes do get discolored though
goof-off is petro based and full of terrible chemicals, dude...I know dawn is a good soap but you are not getting all that residue off! Be smart and use isopropyl and if you need a scrubbing agent use table salt with it.
Thanks. I know it's a solvent, but it doesnt bond to the glass. Dawn does get it clean. I know this because I paint different things now and then, and if goof-off isnt cleaned off of a part, it will screw up the paint. After using Dawn, thoroughly, it does.
24hrs isn't even a concern for glass. Unless like said before there's something painted on it, then maybe. You can literally store iso in sealed glass or pyrex indefinitely. .

it does not matter. Glass is not pourous, so it will not absorb the alcohol. Make sure you rinse really good with hot water. Enjoy.
