a digital sounds like a computer, a magnetic ballast sounds like a microwave. depends on how deep of a sleeper u are.
the real question is can you deal with the heat it puts off while trying to sleep. The buzzing noise is nothing, if anything itll help you sleep better.
I sleep in my growroom a fair bit. The noise doesn't bother me at all, and I'm running a 600w HPS (digital ballast), 2 x 6" duct fans, 1 x 4" duct fan, 1 x 100mm case fan, 4 x 80mm case fans, 6 x airpumps, and 3 x 200w flouros. Oh, and an oscillating tower fan. I sometimes get a little worried about the noise from the room, until the central heating kicks in at 3 times the volume, and I realise it's just paranoia.
