Can you identify this strain?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by TheUltimateNoob, Jun 9, 2019.

  1. What's up everyone,

So, I have this tree I'm growing in my box, 3 weeks from harvest (1 week 3rd strength nutes, 11 day flush and 3 days dark period remaining)

Its just a bag seed from what I think was some outdoor cheese, but I'm not sure as I've had to get rid of some plants due to them being males and some weaker ones...

    Can anyone identify this strain?

The last picture is of a small dried head, premature harvest due to a damaged main stem. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  2. No.

No one can identify a strain from a picture.
Can't smell, smoke or taste a photo on a
    computer screen.

  3. Lol I knew it was a long shot, but it was worth a try...

Its my first grow so I just labeled it as trail run, I had a lot of things to figure out and learnt a lot... Had a bunch of temp and humidity problems during veg phase.

Also ended up getting a new light at the start of flowering.

Will be starting a proper grow soon and posting it on here.

    Thanks though bro.

  4. Yes they can.
If somebody is growing the same strain and are at the same stage as his plants, and if both plants look very alike, then they might suggest what the strain could be. Just a thought.

The more people see this thread, the more of a chance there is for somebody being able to help out.

  6. No. Just no. Literally impossible. Unless you’re doing genetic testing in a lab there’s no way of knowing. Period the end. It’s not even a debate to have. My lemon skunk and northern lights look identical. They’re not. Not even in the same ball park genetically or in regard to the terpene profiles. Let alone the differences in flavonoids and cannabanoids

  7. Thanks bro, I was kind of thinking if someone had the same plant they could tell, but I know better now.

Not meaning to discredit anyone else though, this makes the most sense as I have a degree in chemistry so I can understand what you mean about the genetics and terpene profiles, but I was unaware of flowers of different strains looking almost identical.

  8. No problem!! There’s a lot of mis information out on these threads man as well as people who talk out of their ass. There’s just not much arguing with that kinda science and people will try. But a lot of strains came
From the same genetics 100’s to thousands of years ago. They all are relatives and at some point and will look the same depending on the crosses. It’s just genetics. However the differences come
In small genetic levels like terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids so on and so forth. You may be able to get in the ball park by looks but you won’t nail it down for 100%

Nobody can tell from an pic. Its impossible. Theres 1000s of documented strains and 1000s more that arent documented, with many more being made each day by pollen chuckers. Many Strains are identical. 100% impossible to guess a strain accurately
