Can you help identify this tiny bug?

  1. Hey all, so I took this picture of this lady bug larva with my microscope, and then later when zooming in I noticed it was covered in a bunch of little bugs. What are these? I thought broad mites but they seem to be too small (lady bug is 1mm, broad mites are .2mm). Russet mites? Or something completely different and I shouldn't worry? I didn't notice them on the plant just on the ladybug, but they are so small I had to zoom in on the photo to notice so they must be on the plant too.

    Thanks!

  3. Bugs on bugs on bugs. Perhaps they are predator mites that are feeding on the lady bug larva?

  4. Could they be dust mites?

  5. Hmm dust mites could be a good call actually. Looks like the ladybug is covered in sulfur or some other type of dust.
