http://forum.grasscity.com/advanced...ing-techniques-hard-root-valuable-plants.html Have a quick read there, just some stuff i found via search
just plain old water will work 100% of the time: http://forum.grasscity.com/do-yourself/444974-lets-build-clone-machine-*step-step*.html
As long as it's in a humid environment, like a clear plastic bag over it, it will root without rooting hormone. But not every time.Gets some root tone at kmart.
So to my understaniding all yu do is 1 cut the part of the plant you want to clone at a 45 deg angle 2 quickly put in water 3 store in dark place 4 wait about 2 weeks 2 a month and you'll have roots? this like truly amazes me!!
Don't store in a dark place they need light as they are rooting. As for the rest, you got it down.A cfl is perfect for rooting clones. If you want short dwarfs keep your light on a 12/12 cycle as they root. They will remain under 2ft tall most times like this.Good if height clearance is an issue. If you want a tree leave the cfl on 24hrs a day until roots appear.
Also make sure you steralize your razor with some rubbing alcohol. And, like maulcoy said, get some rootone from walmart. It's 5 bucks or less and it'll last forever (depending on how often you clone of course). Not 100% necessary but it'll root quicker and more often.
