Can the THC amount vary?

    ive grown for a couple seasons now and ive herd form different people on GC that it is posible and its not, is it possible to change the THC amount of a preset plant (translation= can you really change the THC in a plant while they are growing?)or is there a technique to get the most out of a plant?

    it may sound like a noob question but i know alot of the other members are asking the same question

    i'm not a grower but i would assume if you treat a plant with better growing conditions it will give better bud(higher thc content) and ofcourse better taste, smoke etc.

    well inhancing the growing conditions is a no brainer but thanks for the reply, but soils and other home grown secrets, would be much appreciated

    What he said. Also, I hear there is a "perfect" time to harvest according to what color the trichromes are at a certian time into flowing. Magnification is required to see this however.

    i believe that somone told me that you can harvest right as the little hairs start turing brown and that it will give you a better high. but if you wait till all the hairs are totally brown it will give you more bud cuz you gave it more time to grow. or somthing like that earlier=higher, later =mo bud. not sure if its true but the way he said it, it sounded good.

    there are myths about increasing the THC content in your crop. Ways of people saying they do it is stressing the plant the fuck out right before harvest. Sticking a screw driver through the main stem.. shocking it. Making it almost freeze. Another way to get bigger buds and increase the THC, is well jsut twisting your stems together carefully. the plant releases THC through the veins inside whenever it needs to repair itself.

    So by shocking it, or twisting the stems together, isnt dangerous jsut do it after your buds are on your girl, and she will relase more THC through her viens. Hang her upside down to dry and watch the crystals form. Hang it upside down in a stand up freezer, and you will see the crystals jsut popping. MAN it is like Resin diamonds. Blinds ya like bling!

    i heard pokeing the stem makes the plant release more THC

    I believe that dry conditions in the flowering phase cause the plant to produce more trichomes.Putting anything through the stem of plant will kill it or stunt growth and lose yeild saying that ive not tried puttin anthing through the stem and i nether will lol.

    This is not true. The best indication of harvest time is the trichome color... When most of the trichomes are milky to amberish color the plant is ready to harvest (depending on what kinda buzz you're lookin for).

    As for increasing potency of your plants... Good growing conditions, proper fertilizing, pleanty of lighting, good ventillation, etc... Just overall good growing techniques. The plants will only go so far because of genetics, but optimum growing conditions will produce optimum plants.
