Can the experts help on these pictures?

  1. Late into this grow, 1 month into flower. Buds aren't great and she is getting yellow. Plant is a seed from Nirvana's free seeds so not a great strain.

Any issues here,or is this just normal for this time in the grow? Light has been a issue due to all the clouds and rain in Florida this summer.

  2. Too late to change the medium out but to me it looks like she's suffering from not enough oxygen to the roots. Looks water logged. Planting in an elevated fabric pot with plenty of course pure perlite (20% of the medium) keeps the roots breathing well and the plant happy although it does increase the feed rate pretty dramatically. You may have to feed twice as often as a plant in a more moisture retaining medium. It's worth the superior root structure and plant health overall though.

It appears to be suffering for a while because it has a long line of pretty stressed growth. When an MJ plant puts out 3 bladed leaves later in it's grow cycle it's a good indicator of stress. It should be putting out big 5 or 7 or 9 or even 11 bladed fan leaves if it's happy. 5 bladed sugar leaves as well. Even more extreme stress can bring out single bladed leaves.

  3. You can possibly elevate the pot out of the drain tray and drill a bunch of holes in it including enlarging the drain holes on the bottom. Some larger rocks can work to elevate the pot. You don't want it sitting in a puddle of a drain tray.

  4. You could also just transplant it. I'm sure it's likely better then letting it finish in a water logged medium. It will probably be much more happy in days.

Transplant shock usually only happens if you do something wrong. Let it dry out before transplant and getting it out of the pot you have will be easier. I would do at least a 7 gallon fabric or maybe a 10.

  5. Thanks for the help. Do you think she will at least get enough buds for harvest if I can get it turned around?

  6. Sure. It's worth keeping. It may wake up if you can correct things.

  7. Okay, I'll get the fabric and keep it out of damn hurricane that's approaching, Lol

  8. I think these are maybe the best pots on the market. Spendy but you can wash and use them over and over and they provide really superior root aeration to even fabric pots with the built in elevated drain tray.

  9. I use cheap fabric pots myself from the local grow store. My favorite finishing size is 7 gallon but monster plants get a 10 gallon.

  10. Every fabric pot is not the same either. I have 5-6 different brands. The last ones I used are made of a synthetic landscaping type fabric with a really large screen mesh. They seem to breathe better then the ones I was using.

These are the ones I'm currently just trying out and I really like them.

You can see how it says "Eliminates overwatering" on the packaging. That's true for the most part if you structure the medium well also.

  11. Great stuff here tbone, really appreciate the help!
