Can the doctor tell if I smoke weed

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by stoned42, Aug 8, 2012.

  1. Greetings to all. I am a retired, Board Certified Internist and Critical Care specialist and would be glad to address any medical-related bud questions.
As a "child of the '60s", I began smoking in 1967 while in med school. About 20% of my class did, as well.
In the years I practiced, the use of bud was NEVER discussed among my colleagues, even those who were my close friends for years.

  2. Honestly he probably could find out if he wanted too but he couldn't tell anyone because of the Hippocratic oath and doctor patient confidentiality agreement. So no you won't get in trouble

  3. op is underage.
    stop being a bitch

Like it or not there is a stigma associated with its use.
    I wouldn't want anyone knowing.
Just look at our former Presidents taking political abuse from people.
    They are hypocrites.

Anyone who drinks or smokes is looked upon like a looser.
At least a little by most people.
Most jobs will fire you or not hire you if they knew.

  5. I called our presidents hypocrites for not legalizing it.
They got away with it but still keep laws in place today that are hurting many people for doing what they did.

  6. Can an ear, nose, throat doctor tell if I smoke weed one or two days before the appointment? I mean, there would be no blood/urine tests, but he would take a look at my throat. Are there any signs of smoking in the throat? I'm not a daily smoker and only take 2-3 hits at each session (low tolerance).

I'm not underage, but I'd still feel uncomfortable if he could tell. There's a huge stigma attached to any kind of drug use in my country...

  7. My ENT doc did a full scope on me.
    Didn't say a thing.
Other than I got acid reflux.

  8. Exactly what Im wondering
