Can spidermites be pure white?

  1. So I've never had spidermites before. Two weeks ago I got a Purple Kush clone.I was excited.I had it in my veg room about 2 weeks when I noticed the white/yellow spots on leaves.I turned the leaves over, and this little clone was infested.I immediatly pulled it out of the room and dumped the pot in the woods.I've checked my other plants nothing found, but it's a lot of area to cover when it could just be a few mites running around. The clone or pot was never in contact with an other pot/plants.

Question is does anyone think I have a chance that my other shit isnt being infested as I write this?I'm guessing I should get some pepper wax,and try precautionary measures.

Other thing is I'm assuming they are mites.I cannot be sure because they werent dark brown or black like pics I've seen.they just looked like tiny pure white spiderish things under the scope.

BTW when getting a clone from someone make sure to ask if it was cloned off an outside plant.this is what happened to me.When the guy told me this I wanted to knock him out,but I guess not everyone knows you shouldnt bring outside shit into your current grow.

    Opinions appreciated.

  2. I'm not sure if they are technically spider mites but this sounds like what I get on my hot pepper plants outside almost every year (which means pepper wax may not work on them)...they are a bitch to get rid of, you have to assume they're in there breeding and should take precautionary measures even if it turns out to be unnecessary. It's much easier to kill 10 than 1,000...Use safe methods to treat.

  3. Any suggestions what to use?

  4. I use an insecticidle soap, safer brand is what my local hardware store carries, It is safe for use on vegetables and fruits so okay to use I think, but I wouldn't use it to far into flower if at all...maybe someone else has a better suggestion?
