When I needed a lawyer I figured the best person to ask would be someone who frequently worked in the courts and who saw them at work. I called a court stenographer and explained how I thought she would know who the good ones were and after stroking her ego and giving assurances she gave me a name. If you can talk to someone on the inside, someone who sees the system and players at work you have a pretty good chance of finding the right guy.
