Hello, i'm going to be growing in my closet again (approximately 5 ft wide, 2.5 feet in depth and 7 feet tall), what would be an affordable lighting set up that would be great for this space? Thank you. My budget is $250.

  2. and your budget would be.....?

  3. 260w qb 3500k rspec will cover2x3. A full grown plant will be 2x2. If you start an auto seed every other month, you will have one big plant and one small plant, and that will fit under a 260. otherwise, figure about 40w minimum per square feet of flowering space.

I run these. They work great! Researched for days. This brand is the best bang for your buck.

  10. Hi everyone and thank you for your recommendations, I went ahead and got a 4x4 tent with 600 watt hps and 2 large 40 watt (150 watt equivalent) CFL bulbs to add some blue light in the mix.

  11. I just recently found and bought a 1000w, Quantum Board LED with Samsung 301b diodes, dimmer switch, and a Meanwell adjustable driver for $200.00. And I couldn’t be more serious. I’m about two weeks away from my first grow with it but so far so good as far as shipping and packaging. Seller contacted me after the sale to see if all was OK. Said to contact her directly if something came up. So far I couldn’t be happier. Look for EnFun 2000 on Amazon.

  12. 2AFD1697-7AC4-46C2-8363-722797060574.jpeg I have an alternative for anyone on a budget with the ability to use wire cutters and a screwdriver. Make your own grow light with some plywood and Home Depot led light bulbs and sockets. I’m using my home made lights side by side with commercial lights and can’t see the difference. I’m using 100w equivalent 2700K bulbs. Pop the globe off the bulb and they are insanely bright.

  14. . This is the first one and I used spray adhesive to put mylar on the plywood board. I’m no longer using the cfl’s. I’m using extension cords for the wiring. I currently have 6 of these going. I’m going on memory, but I think the sockets were $1.48 ea. Bulbs average cost is $2.88 ea for 15w LED bulbs for the cheapest on the shelf at Home Depot.

  15. You're for sure going to have to do some trimming though because the bottom looks awful dark or at least get some side lighting.

  16. I don’t worry about the lower stuff because I strip it by hand for butter or to press for rosin. Only the fat heavy buds ever see a baggy. I’m striving for a low maintenance garden since I am doing the perpetual harvest thing.
I’m using my dehumidifier for my water source. I’m doing organic so I don’t have to worry about flushing and I re use my potting medium by adding fresh coco and perlite and this has cut my costs considerably and it makes me feel a little more self sufficient. I have seen no down side. Yet.
I’m not fancying myself as a know it all. I just love the conversation and connection.

  17. I’m also not interested in paint by numbers activities and certainly not in any kind of gardening. I’m a fan of Bruce Lee and his philosophy and apply that to my gardening. My plants are trimmed to make me happy. Partly is I love the dense plants and partly I experience less hermies when I don’t clip them too much and I am doing clones, btw.

  18. no kidding, decarboxylation changed my life. If it's got trichs and they are not clear. it no longer matters how dark they were when you cut them.
