Can someone help me out with info on an exhaust system for my grow cab PLEASE!

  1. Hey guys so my grow cab dimensions are:

    18" x 18" x 36"

Which to me is enough for 1 plant which i'm currently growing.

So for these dimensions could I use a 4" inline duct fan like this one:

HTG Supply - 4" Inline Duct Fan

and attach it to the diy carbon filter posted in this thread at the bottom:

Also can anyone clue me in as to how much noise a 4" inline duct fan makes since I really don't want it to be too noisy.

Any alternatives, advice and tips are much appreciated. Thanks!

  2. To be honest with you, that's a really small setup. Your best bet would be to make light traps with computer fans built into them. One on the bottom to bring air in, and one on the top to expel the hot air. Running 4" ducting in that setup will take away a lot of room which your gonna need. It will most likely end up going to the the top. In my smaller grow, my tent is 36"x36"x72". I didn't even put ducting in that one because it really isn't necessary. If you need some type of air filter, they make other types of equipment that are smaller and will be perfect for what you need, like a air scrubber. Computer fans will do what you need them to do ;) Hope this helps!
