Can someone give me a list of brand name soil and ferts from homedepot...

  1. Eh, if you wanna go that route I guess. Maybe Kellogs soil? and Peters, Scotts, or Miracle grow ferts. If I am not mistaken you should be careful with those types of ferts because I don't think they offer micro-nutrients. I don't use them so I can't comment on how reliable those ferts are.

  2. Can't go wrong with Kellogs potting mix. I just use the generic potting mix and generic composted cow manure.

In my area, Home Depot carries Espoma fertilizers. I use Plant-Tone when up-potting and Tomato-Tone when they begin flowering. IMO an excellent line of organic fertilizers.

  3. Naw dude i decided to use that fox ocean farm soil. And my town gets pretty dry during summer so how would i keep my plants and clones humid. And please give me a list o shit. i got a lot o money

  4. check my grow out in my sig... it's got my soil mix and nutes i use... still experimenting with some flowering techniques, but pretty solid all-around... i absolutely recommend with an unlimited budget to mix your own soil... if nothing else you'll get a good feel for what does what when you add it...

there's basically 4 components to a good soil... the dirt, the dirt amendment, the drainage, and the nutes...

for dirt, i recommend, in order:
    Promix BX
    Sunshine
Happy Frog/FFOF (doesn't need amendments or soil nutes, just drainage)
or just plain ole Peat Moss...

    for dirt amendment:
    WORM CASTINGS *absolutely the best
    Mushroom Compost
    ...any other compost

    for drainage:
    Perlite
Vermiculate (both are best, as perlite can uptake salts, but holds water better)

    for nutes:
    bone/blood/kelp meals
    mexican/jamaican/indonesian bat guanos

if you add nutes, you'll definitely need to lime... just pH check it and balance with powdered dolomite lime as needed

you'll want a line of liquid nutes like Earth Juice, Dr. Earth, or Fox Farms... I love Maxicrop Kelp Extract, Superthrive, and Liquid Karma for supplemental nutes, and you can use any or all of those 3 from seedling to flowering...

also, if you just get the peat (which would make you fully organic cause promix and sunshine has a "wetting agent" that makes it inorganic) you'll want some myco mix... great white seems to be the favorite... promix has it already in the mix, and i'm pretty sure sunshine does too, but could be wrong there... if your soil doesn't, it's a fungii that attaches to your roots and hooks them up with feedings... just make sure you don't use too many chemicals and keep the fungii fed...

you'll also want a pH meter, pH buffer solutions (4.0, 7.0), and storage solution for your meter... you'll want a way to change pH, normally done with pH up and down... my favorite, keeping with the organic vibe is Earth Juice Natural Up and Down...

if you want to make a grow box to start your seedlings off with, i'd suggest it, just get some CFLs, mylar, and a couple fans... put your bigger fan on the top and smaller fan on bottom to vent properly (negative pressure, but it's a positive thing ;))... transplant outside or move your pots outside when you hit the 4th node bro...

    good luck... :)

  5. why not just plant in ground

  6. The town i live in is still kinda cold, and i want to start my seedlings out then transplant them to my 3 sites out in nature brah...... but uhh ya the day is like around 6O to 65 degreer fah. and nite can get to about 45degrees. so id rather what a month or 2
