After a long hiatus from smoking weed, I'm back. I'm retired, live in a cannabis friendly society and am damn near lost in a head shop. As an example, I've been looking for a disposable glass oil pipe. I called several headshops describing what I was looking for-they didn't have a clue until the last guy said "It's called a Meth Pipe." I Googled it-he was right. I have made a few batches of oil and I'm getting it dialed in. My question is what is the best equipment to vaporize oil. I've had mixed results with a V-Tower Extreme and oil with the stock cyclone bowl. There's got to be a better bowl for this or do I need a dedicated water pipe with something like a titanium skillet on it. What would you recommend as the best way/ways to use oil? I hate to seem naive, but could someone describe the functions of the various tools available and what they're called? Also, where can you buy them? I'm not new to weed, just vaporizers. And oil. And candy. Also, could someone recommend a quality portable vaporizer that will work for oil or herb. EDIT: I've had a V-Tower Extreme for a year and a half. It is used daily, is sturdy enough for the living room. It has performed as I expected with no issues of any kind except for not vaping oil very well. I prefer it over the Volcano because my wife has arthritis and the V-tower is easier to pick up. At the same time I bought a Space Case Scout, another aluminum Space Case grinder about the size of a hockey puck, a Sharpstone hash press and a 100mesh kif box. All of these work well enough, but there is room for improvement. I thank all of you for the information. What exactly is a "Bubbler" ? 420Doc: I don't mind spending money when I get value in return. What is it that makes the pipes you suggested worth $700.00?
Alex K & Wil Glass Mini Vapor Tube Collab - # 8 i obviously dont have that one exactly but i make a little batch of oil from every harvest (oil is actually really bad for you, but i love it so i tend to smoke minimals amounts) and use an AlexK rig like that to smoke it. you heat up a nail (either Ti or Glass) but the globe on and then use a dabber to get the oil on the nail it will vaporitze it imediately, such a great way to smoke oil dabs. I got my Alex K Concentrate tube for $700 but you can get just the globes to go on any Glass on Glass tube or bubbler for like 70 bucks Mike Fro - Concentrate Bubbler with Ti Pad then there are curves, like the one on this bubbler. same type of idea as a the globe. you heat up the Ti Pad til its red hot then dab the oil of the pad it vaporizes it and there is usually (if good quality oil) no residue left on the Ti Pad. I have a generic curve that i bought for 30 bucks that i use on my AlexK DubBub.
Titanium curve or globe with titanium nail. HMK is making units (bubbler+curve) full time now, so you can probably get one without too long of a wait. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz2UoRSjfSc]YouTube - GGirl/HMK vape[/ame]
Step 1:Get a Silver Surfer Step 2: Get a power inverter for a car. Step 3: Your mind will be blown. There is no fourth step. The silver surfer is both the best whip type/aroma therapy vaporizer on the market TO THIS DAY IMHO. This video reviews Da Buddha BUT The Silver Surfer is the upgraded version of Da Buddha and there are almost no reviews on it on YouTube for some odd reason. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4p0WB4MExU[/ame]
There actually is a fourth step because you can't smoke oil straight out of the silver surfer without melting it onto bud or something first. It'd help to read OP's post. As far as oil goes it is really conduction (hot surface) vaporization or go home in my opinion. Convection vapes can't give you those FAT OIL RIPS.
The Silver Surfer is the only vaporizer that you can both diffuse oils and vaporize at the same time. Benefits of aromatherapy: Aromatherapy - Benefits Aromatherapy top: Aroma Top Conclusion on why the silver surfer is the perfect whip style vaporizer: The vaporizer has a MULTITUDE of things that no other vape can offer such as: The heating element NEVER goes through the device, it's the purest vaporizing experience you can get. The WHOLE machine is VERY sturdy! The vaporizer can be left on for YEARS (Literally) The vaporizer has a 3 year warranty and you can upgrade it to 10 year or lifetime for an extra cost. The vaporizer is custom made, all knobs and glass heating covers are custom made. No two are alike. This vaporizer has the most accessories out of any vaporizer on the market. The vaporizer heats up within 2 minutes! Most vaporizers will take 5-45 minutes to heat up. Vaporizers are known for getting NOTORIOUSLY hot, but not the silver surfer because the heating element is OUTSIDE of the vaporizer! The glass component that hooks up to the whip is tilted DOWNWARDS so this means your weed (Or whatever you want to vaporize) will NEVER get into the heating element. (UNLESS you blow the weed into it for some reason) The vapor to air ratio is supposedly the best on the market. The best thing about this vaporizer is that you have the ease of mind knowing you own the best whip type vaporizer on the market. Ask anybody, if you can operate it well, this vaporizer is everything that I've said if not more. Cost on ebay for a blemished silver surfer: $206 SHIPPED!
Shipwreck did you even read his post? He already has a vaporizer (a damn good one), he's simply looking for a dabbing setup. I would personally go with a glass nail/dome. And your whole post about the SSV is a little over the top. Conclusion on why the silver surfer is the perfect whip style vaporizer: The vaporizer has a MULTITUDE of things that no other vape can offer (Really...) such as: The heating element NEVER goes through the device, it's the purest vaporizing experience you can get. Just because it doesn't go through the machine doesn't mean other vapes are just as safe. The WHOLE machine is VERY sturdy! Most vapes are? The vaporizer can be left on for YEARS (Literally) So can Purple Days? The vaporizer has a 3 year warranty and you can upgrade it to 10 year or lifetime for an extra cost. - MFLB has a lifetime warranty. The vaporizer is custom made, all knobs and glass heating covers are custom made. No two are alike. - Many vapes you can get custom work done (Purple Days). This vaporizer has the most accessories out of any vaporizer on the market. - I bet there are more companies making replacement bags for a Cano than acc. for SSV. The vaporizer heats up within 2 minutes! Most vaporizers will take 5-45 minutes to heat up. - My Extreme Q heats up to 200* Celsius in 1:07 mins, as do others. Plus how can you tell its at the correct temp if it's not digital? Vaporizers are known for getting NOTORIOUSLY hot, but not the silver surfer because the heating element is OUTSIDE of the vaporizer! - My Extreme stays cool to the touch at any temp, as do others. The glass component that hooks up to the whip is tilted DOWNWARDS so this means your weed (Or whatever you want to vaporize) will NEVER get into the heating element. (UNLESS you blow the weed into it for some reason). - The Extreme has 2 screens to block particles as do other vapes... The vapor to air ratio is supposedly the best on the market. - Yes the SSV and Da Buddah do produce thicker hits but not by much. This is the only point that you basically have...
I saw nowhere in his post that he owns a vaporizer he even said he's new to them but has had mixed results with the V Tower Extreme. But whatever, why are you pushing the subject?
Because you took over his thread praising the SSV stating no other vape is even comparable lol. I mean comon...
AGAIN, if you READ my post I actually said that you were right there? Nor did I say that it wasn't? But it doesn't matter because this thread has nothing to do with that...right? Edit: You posted a thread today saying you haven't even got your SSV yet? How do you even know that it's the best yet you haven't even used it?
Just spreading the truth, there is no best vaporizer out there. There is no need to get angry over it man, it's just a forum!
you can always get one of these You put the oil on the glass platter, touch it with a hot metal or glass rod and inhale.
A bubbler is just any water pipe that doesn't have a tube top like a bong. Smaller pieces are better for oil because it retains the taste better and you can take bigger hits.
