you could just put the seed in the soil and water. Hopefully youll get a plant. Think you have better control if you germinate it somewhere else its final destination. I used a little closed plastic box with moistened cotton. Works like a charm but must be careful not to break the little root when moving it from box to soil. Hope it helps Currently on my first grow 4x39 daylight Osram Fluoros hung up in chains, some old school twist, jeje. 4 Indicas 6 Sativas .5 g/L of "triple 17 plus" (17-17-17 N-P-K and some micrconutes) .5 g/L of "nutriflor" (15-30-15 N-P-K) 35 days 12-12
you don't. he's feeding you incorrect information. the thing is, you're more likely to insure yourself that your seed will infact sprout and become a plant if you germinate it first. you can just plant them in soil, but they may not ever sprout. if they do sprout, they will definitely take longer than they would if you had germinated them first. germinating isn't hard. what do you have against it?
I have way more succes in growing when I first germ the seeds. I've found that just planting the seeds usually only gets me a 60% success rate.
Yes you can skip it. The Only benefits of germination is an increase in the percent of successfull plant sprouting.
