Can shrooms go bad?

  1. I bought a quarter of shrooms about a month ago, i took a half eighth and completely forgot about the other one until just now. Theyve been inside a ziplock bag in a dark cabinet, are they still ok to eat?

  2. if youre asking the question than yes they are

  3. I know you grow shrooms, do shrooms stay fresh as long as you keep them tightly sealed in a bag?

  4. what? that really doesnt answer anything

  5. You asked if they were ok to eat, correct? He said they are.

  6. If they are cracker dry they arent going to go bad that quick

  7. exactly

    the reason i said it the way i said it is if they were rotting he would know it

  8. oh ok i got you, didnt really understand... Yeah they look the same as before

  9. Dried ones CAN grow mold on it when confined to closed spaces, but you will see it and you'll know if they're bad or not. It'll look like a black covering starting to devour the shroom.

  10. I bet that was a nice surprise.

  11. So you bought 7 grams, took 1.75, and only have 1.75 left? Hows that work?

  12. not if they're cracker dry man
    mold needs water to grow
    mold=rotting

    leave them in a dessicant chamber if you are trying to keep them for years
    if you just wanna save them for a few months, they should be fine in a bag, maybe a paper one, and put in a cool dark place

    and how is having it in a confined space more likely for it to grow mold
    mold needs air too, most likely oxygen just like the shrooms, but they may breathe CO2, which also comes from air
