On a recent episode of Weeds, Andy said that if you plant a tomato plant in the ground, the hairs would eventually turn into roots. I was wondering if the same could be done with marijuana sex pistols. A branch broke off one of my plants and I'd hate to see it go to waste. I've read other techniques about cloning plants, but most of them consist of too many extra things. I just want to try working with what I have. Thanks!
Stick the branch in water, soak for a few minutes, poke it into some wet soil, put under a cfl light...it will grow.
Cloning is pretty straight forward and easy. Give it a try. You can get everything you need for under 75 bucks.
You don't even have to make anything with this method bro I'll do a thread on it when I take clones in a couple of weeks. After doing a few different ways, this is my favourite of them all both for sheer simplicity and results.
SteveO, it's as simple as taking the branch, trimming all the leaves but the top, and maybe one set underneath, cutting the bottom of the stem at a 45, then do a light scraping to scarify the last little bit of stem. Put it in a rooting cube or starter mix, kep it watered and voila!! I prefer CFl's to root under, but I've done it on a windowsill and outdoors in the shade as well. Clear plastic water bottles with the taper cut off and a few holes drilled in the top make perfect humidity domes for a few clones at the time. You really don't have to spend much of anything, as practice is what makes a person good at it. And yes, 2nd to rooting tomato cuttings IMHO, is cannabis. Both are retarded easy to root.
