Can plants grow in indirect sunlight?

  1. i have a bunch of spouts in my closet about a week old and its getting crowded in there. I want to put them in my backyard but they would be under the shadows from my roof and trees. Would they still fair well?

  2. I haven't grown a full crop myself yet, but I've done loads of research over the last 6 months or so.
From my knowledge, I believe it's doable, but they would not fare well; I would not expect to get a decent crop.
You're better off to get some high-watt "cool" CFL bulbs and invest in some larger/better lights (Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium are recommended) down the road if possible

  3. Oh they wouldnt grow there permantly lol. just for 2 weeks until they are planted somewhere else

  4. it's certainly better than no light at all!
as always, the more the better

  5. I had plants in indirect sunlight for about a week. They looked fine, and even grew, but I wouldn't keep them there during flowering if at all possible.

  6. as long as they get like 4-6 hours of sunlight there fine and it wont matter during flowering, if they grew fine in veg then they'll grow fine during flowering
