My plants are at the end of week 5 of flowering. One of the plants already has alot of red hairs but none of the others do. I heard you should harvest when the bud has about 50% red hairs. If I let it continue flowering for the next 3 weeks will it harm the bud?
im not going to definitively say 3 weeks is the proper amount, but its definately not done yet IMO. 3 weeks to chop might be a good estimate, but its kinda hard to tell. If youve never run the plant before, its much harder to tell. Kinda have to watch it regularly for the last few weeks.
Yeah it looks like has a while to go yet. 50% brown hairs seems early to me for harvesting. Get a little microscope and judge it by the trichomes instead, 20% amber is usually good.
