I remember having to read this book in biology in high school, many years ago. Interesting reading and in a nutshell, it says yes. Plants can respond to interaction:

 

Of course plants have feelings, I would say they're even self-aware. Especially carnivorous plants.

Sometimes I gently pet or stroke my houseplants. I genuinely believe that's part of what makes them so healthy.
