can i use this broken bong stem?

    hey fellas,

    so i received the glass bong i ordered today, and i dropped the stem on the floor. it broke. into two pieces.
    also i tried to glue it together, not knowing how stupid it is to do that (chemicals, etc.)

    my question is: can i still use the short piece to the right?

    Nope. That shit is fucked. The purpose of that piece is to go under the water. If you just use the bowl it wouldn't reach the water, leaving you with a big pipe with water in the bottom doing very little.

    Make a gravity bong out of it.

    If you know of a nearby glassblower you might be able to get that repaired for cheap or free. Otherwise just buy a new one; they're not that expensive. You probably won't be able to repair or use the broken stem yourself.

    Bro you broke it as soon as you got it?

    Some people aren't meant to have glass.

    You could.. It'd feel like a 1hitter, but with a bong hit. My buddies bong broke at the base and now its just the tube with a hole at the bottom. He took the stem and put a shit load of tape and made his broken bong into a huge 1 hitter lol. Shit hits ridiculously hard.

    Is there a local headshop around? Replacement stems are like $10.

    You could get a diffuser downstem at your LHS for like 10-15 bucks.

    New downsteams with percs costed me about 15 bucks at the smokeshop in my town. Maybe you can go browse some headshops and get another one for your bong.

    Good luck I broke one of my downsteams pushing it into my bong. Wish I had a true glass on glass but the rubber O ring aint so bad to hold my downstem in place

    Just buy another one for like $10, and hopefully it's not brittle, thin, chinese glass..

    the situation itself really was stupid. i opened the wrapper and that thing fell out instantly.. whatever, its in the past.
    ill see if i can get a replacement stem.
    what is a "1hitter" btw?
