I bought these LEDS from Amazon. Could I use them for a microgrow for just one plant? They are around 6 inch from the light with around 5k lumens in intensity.
I wouldn't imagine they have enough watts to grow a plant, ive seen a couple kingbo's on amazon one was 18 watts and the other 50 watts, anything less than 150 watts really isn't even worth it. depending on your grow space I would way anything under 150 watts isn't worth it. even in a 2x2 150 watts is only 37 watts a sqft. 30 watts a sqft being the minimum you would want 70 watts a sqft would be max wattage a sqft
Anything will work but they won't produce a whole lot. The general rule of thumb for HID's is: 400w = 8 oz 600w = 16 oz 1000w = 24 oz .... give or take a few ounces.
early vegging isn't where youre going to run into issues ive started veg under 35 watts in the past. its late veg and flowering that you will have issues.
Just to clarify did you grow that from the original light posted? Or is that from another grow? June 2nd: Right now: Kessil A80 Tuna Blue I would compare this low level 10k spectrum (15watt power consumption (not comparable for LEDs)) to one 24” T5 about 3ft above the plant. As you can see there is absolute shit growth. I’m not doing this for any reason other than to see what the blue spectrum does and how fast, rather how slow, it makes the plant grow. Just sharing my experience with low level LEDs. (And this one isn’t really bad just very weak) Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
yea low wattage blue doesn't do much in its self. blue aids in root growth, pant growth, close node growth and over all health of the plant. when mixed with wider spectrum lights they work better and the plant grows faster. I veg under eye hortilux power veg bulbs
I want a microgrow in a small apartment. I don't mind if her bud is small in quantity. I will add more light and get her bushier for the next few weeks and then induce flowering gradually. Put her in a large 15" pot. I will add a few more watts of light in the next few days.
